Minimum qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in System Architecture and Design for data center platforms.
  • Experience with systems development and taking platforms from concept to production.
  • Experience with hardware, software, and tooling.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in representing stakeholders during executive-level planning and prioritization exercises.
  • Knowledge and experience as a Systems Architect for Machine Learning (ML) systems.
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills in an environment of shifting priorities.

    As a Systems Architect, you will interface with stakeholders from data center operations, manufacturing, and supply chains to crystallize Design for Operations requirements. You will influence new platform architectures through technical insights and trade off analyses with stakeholders from the Hardware Design and Software Architecture teams. You will help mentor a highly experienced team within operations for in-house competence in platforms architecture, both hardware and software.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Identify operational risks of the system design to enable rapid deployment and minimize downtime during repairs.
    • Mitigate the operational risks through collaboration with partners in Hardware, Software, and Tooling teams.
    • Crystallize the tradeoffs between systems design and operational excellence to enable decisions, from the engineer level to the executive level.
    • Oversee the validation and tactical execution of the system design requirements, from ideation to ramp.
    • Align stakeholders across competing vectors through clear communication of updates, escalations, and achievements.
