Supplier Development Engineer, Packaging

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in printed retail packaging manufacturing for consumer electronics industry.

Preferred qualifications:

• 3 years of experience as a Supplier Development Engineer, in Packaging, or similar.
• Knowledge of retail type electronic device packaging manufacturing quality control.
• Familiarity with color control and press check.
• Excellent troubleshooting, statistical process control, failure analysis, and program management skills.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese and English fluently to effectively work with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work with supplier and cross-functional team members to develop retail packaging for fully built consumer electronics devices, focusing on quality manufacturing processes.
• Manage suppliers in color control for print runs and support the Print Production Design team for press check upon request.
• Support the implementation of required manufacturing processes and mitigate supply risk.
• Manage the development and implementation of quality control plan required for supplier's factory.
• Lead root cause determination and corrective action for manufacturing defects.
