  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
  • Experience architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems.

    Google App Engine (GAE) is the first managed container platform on GCP, serving customers around the world. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing the multi-year serverless container platform strategy and consolidating GAE feature development and operations in India under a single organization. You will also lead the ideas and implementation of GAE stack convergence, modernization, and long-term sustenance.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the idea and execution for GAE, starting with internal influence and leadership across Serverless partner organizations.
    • Partner with executive engineers and product leaders to develop and execute a shared stack modernization and long-term sustenance ideas for GAE.
    • Provide technical guidance and thought leadership to GAE and Serverless cross-team initiatives.
    • Provide operational support with minimal supervision for production incidents.
    • Improve the operational health by identifying, prioritizing, and implementing systematic improvements.
