Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 7 years of experience with iOS or Android application development.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.
  • 5 years of experience with coding in Java or Objective-C.
  • Experience developing software applications using the C++ programming language.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience building complex Application Programming Interface (API) that are used by many different teams.
  • Experience working with cross-functional partners to align on complex problems.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Expand our core user interface to harness the full power of a rich set of recommendations capabilities and the latest advancements in generative AI to meet and exceed today's music consumer needs.
    • Launch end-to-end user facing features that revolutionize music discovery, primarily through the flagship YouTube Musicapp on Android and iOS.
    • Drive cross-organizational collaboration and ensure the strategy, direction, and decisions of multiple work streams are integrated, aligned, and positioned to support differentiation.
    • Build and leverage strong collaborative relationships with relevant stakeholders across YouTube MusicHome and Radio, Discovery, and the entire Music organization.
