Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
- Experience leading a team, including coaching, mentoring and team development.
- Experience architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems, and in building infrastructure offering.
- Knowledge of Google's values in diversity, inclusion, and respect.
- Ability to align cross-functional stakeholders around common goals.
- Ability to lead projects with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate and influence the strategies for key product areas.

In this role, you'll own several pieces of the infrastructure and will be responsible for the comprehensiveness and quality of the Shopping Graph. You'll be responsible for defining the strategy and partnering with teams to leverage Machine Learning-based approaches to scale data extraction systems.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and lead an engineering team with a focus on Data mining, Experiments, Logging, Metrics, and the associated infrastructure, on-call rotations, and cross-product area client support.
- Define metrics and develop roadmaps for improving buyable corpus comprehensiveness and quality.
- Partner with counterparts in Search and Core Infrastructure organizations to leverage horizontal tools and negotiate partnerships and roadmaps which increase their utility for Shopping use-cases.
- Create infrastructure and programs which enable step-function improvements in Shopping corpus.
- Partner with various groups throughout Shopping to support success.
