Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

Reliability Data Foundations owns the foundational datasets, infrastructure, products, and processes that underpin Google Cloud Platform's (GCP) ability to identify and prioritize reliability investments. This is ultimately in pursuit of GCP achieving its desired reliability outcomes resulting in a more reliable Cloud for our customers. Specifically Reliability Data Foundations focuses on designing and building standardized reliability metrics and a consistent reporting experience for GCP leadership. As well as more detailed granular views for individual Product teams to identify areas for improvement (detailed views).

Responsibilities
- Deliver a more reliable Google Cloud Platform (GCP)for our customers through improved decision support for reliability investments across GCP product teams.
- Own substantial pieces of the Google Cloud Platform Reliability (GCPR) Platform roadmap and ensure the engineering team delivers high quality projects on time.
- Manage the GCPR Platform - Reliability Data Foundations team.
- Build relationships across the wider organization to land novel concepts and align GCP on a standardized set of reliability metrics and data.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners (Product Management, User Experience, Technical Program Manager, Data Science, and Tech Writers) to support our goals.
