Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in software development with Java or Kotlin.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience with Android application development.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience with software development in Java or Kotlin.
  • 2 years of experience in Android application development
  • Experience with Android framework.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams in different timezones along with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with open ended problems along with excellent problem-solving skills.

The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google's software and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate and build features for Pixel battery experience.
  • Collaborate with cross functional contributors such as Product Managers and User Experience Designers/Researchers to define product features.
  • Design a new user experience from the ground-up by taking initiative.
  • Set the technical direction and plan deliverables and milestones.
  • Make technical contributions including prototyping, design, implementation, unit and integration testings, etc.
