Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in network protocols (IP/UDP/TCP/ICMP/IPsec), their characteristics in wireless environments (e.g. dropped packets and Dup-acks) as well as methods to measure their performance.
- 5 years of experience in wireless data path domain (Cellular/WiFi datapath preferred).
- Experience in a coding language like C.
- Experience in either kernel development, power management, performance tuning, or peripheral drivers on Android systems.
- Experience in Linux's Network stack implementation for various protocols (IP/UDP/TCP/ICMP/IPSec) etc.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop system software architecture for optimal memory bandwidth, latency, power and packet processing.
- Work with cross organization including hardware (modem, WiFi/BT, PCIe), software, and networking teams to develop power efficient data and control path for better end user experience.
- Identify data/control path performance gaps and work with various teams to come up with creative solutions to improve the user experience.
- Work with Google's System on a Chip(SoC) team on SoC architecture and roadmap.
- DefineKey Performance Indicators (KPI), collect KPI metrics, analyze collected metrics and propose optimizations.
