Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience contributing to, or customizing the Android platform or framework.
  • Knowledge about developing Android software.

In this role, you will be responsible for the tools that help to develop and debug a better User Interface (UI) across multiple form factors faster.You will encourage and reward Product Excellence work (refactoring, testing, reducing complexity, improving key Customer User Journeys).

Responsibilities

  • Develop product or system code.
  • Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
  • Develop new tools for Android development as well as expanding existing tools in Android Studio.
  • Support existing and upcoming workflows and frameworks, and respond to developers demands.
  • Drive new features and projects, focusing on helping developers.
