Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with iOS development.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • Programming experience in Objective-C, Swift, and C++.
  • Experience with building AI powered features.

    The Chrome on iOS team's goal is to build the best browser on iOS. We put that in practice by leveraging the momentum and code base behind Chrome and by applying our unique expertise of the platform to bring innovation and excellence to the mobile web browsing experience on iOS.

    Chrome is dedicated to building a better, more open web. We're focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a safe and secure way.Chrome is available across all major platforms - iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security.

    Responsibilities

    • Write product or system development code.
    • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
    • Work with a team of software developers, product managers and UX designers to design, implement and ship great new features for Chrome on iOS.
    • Work in the open-source Chromium repository as well as Google's proprietary code base.
    • Own the feature from end-to-end (i.e., Design, Implementation, Deployment, Monitoring and Metrics Analysis).
