Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in Java or C++.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
  • 1 year of experience working with mobile application development (Java for Android/Android SDK).
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience with web application development.
  • Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test development.
  • Familiarity working in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with scalable design/testing practices in support of developer teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Design robust mobilefeatures focused on performance, maintainability, and reusability using Java and C++.
    • Develop automated tests as part of new and existing feature development.
    • Participate in design and code reviews for teammates and other Chrome/Google teams.
    • Collaborate with Product Managers to plan, launch, and analyse experiments for users.
    • Profile code, run experiments and analyze data to optimize resource use across many use cases.
