Minimum qualifications:
- PhD degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in digital or physical silicon design, demonstrated through internships, academic research, and publications.
- Experience in any one hardware description language (e.g., Verilog, SystemVerilog) and one scripting language (e.g., Python, Perl).
- Research experience in advanced topics such as heterogeneous computing, low-power design, or advanced packaging.
- Experience with hardware performance modeling and analysis.
- Experience with publications in peer reviewed journals, and conferences.
- Familiarity with industry-standard design tools for simulation, synthesis, physical design, and verification.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.

As a PhD Silicon Engineer, you will investigate and implement novel approaches to optimize performance, power, and area. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product groups, to translate findings into impactful silicon solutions that enhance user experience. You will also contribute to the development of design methodologies and automation flows that accelerate the design process.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $127,000-$187,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities
- Drive and develop innovative solutions in digital and physical silicon design, encompassing areas such as microarchitecture, circuit design, and physical implementation.
- Develop and implement advanced modeling and simulation techniques to analyze and optimize system performance, power consumption, and thermal characteristics.
- Participate in the design, verification, and validation of complex silicon systems, including RTL coding, functional verification, synthesis, and physical design.
- Contribute to the development of design methodologies and automation flows that improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into practical silicon solutions.
