Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with system design, software, tools and operations.
  • Experience in change management.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Strong problem-solving, discussion, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to engage with director-level, and executives, with proven experience in executive-level communication.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with key engineering leads/stakeholders by evaluating and supervising multiple projects, organizing cross-project work within the program, and defining program controls/governance /standards.
  • Oversee and drive a portfolio of tracks/areas to drive readiness with a direct and measurable progress on adoption readiness.
  • Partner with engineering leads and cross-functional teams to ensure that organization-wide goals set and reflect top-level strategy as well as ensure projects are effectively prioritized, resourced, and managed.
  • Engage with engineering leads, product leaders and other technical program managements groups, to drive roadmap and customer adoption.
  • Ensure all leadership/stakeholders are aware of progress/blockers on a continuous basis, drive strategic decisions throughout all organizations and levels.
