Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 7 years of experience building and developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), and Content Management Systems (CMS) used in the academic or industry training space.
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- 3 years of experience with with LLMs, FineTuning, Prompt Engineering, and Model Evaluations.
- 3 years of experience with LTI and related SSO patterns.

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will have strategic impact on the direction and deliverables of the Cloud Learning Services (CLS) Engineering team. You will focus on defining the architecture of a scalable learning platform and building tools and infrastructure to upskill cloud learners anywhere and anytime in the world. You'll also participate in shaping the future of CLS AI and Tech Infrastructure which will be the cornerstone in a number of applications in CLS. You will be a leader, driving the architecture, design, and implementation of large-scale, highly distributed systems that power our cloud platform. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions that make a real impact on our customers and the industry.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $237,000-$337,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic impact and own outcomes for the goal, architecture and implementation of the CLS Infrastructure and GenAI, ensuring scalability, reliability, and user-friendliness.
- Design intuitive systems and features to create more effective and efficient learning experience for users of all skill levels leveraging GenAI.
- Work on ambiguous, open-ended technical challenges related to managing large ambiguous problems and distilling the path forward.
- Bring industry trends and technologies, and transform learning through the use of cutting edge technologies.
- Collaborate with both technical and non technical stakeholders understanding differing points of view.
