Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in product design or UX
- Experience implementing visual design systems across platforms in an iterative software development environment, applying design tools (e.g. Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch).
- Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link and/or access instructions).
- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experienc
- 12 years of experience in product design or UX.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Define and advocate the UX direction for YouTube Connections, aligning it with overall product strategy and balancing user, business, and safety needs.
- Collaborate with UXR to understand user needs and validate designs through testing and iteration.
- Develop UX deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that are intuitive, engaging, and accessible.
- Mentor and guide the UX team, fostering growth and delivering an excellent user experience.
- Build cross-functional partnerships and alignment between Connections and partner teams across YouTube (e.g. YouTube Shorts, Trust and Safety, Identity & Privacy, CoreX, Creator, etc).
