Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or 8 years of work experience with a PhD degree.
- 12 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or 10 years of work experience with a PhD degree.
- 6 years of experience as a people manager within a technical leadership role.
- Experience working with human labeled data and machine learning.

The Search Quality Data Science team works on metrics, insights, data quality, and methodology for Search Quality (now known as ranking) and for Search overall. The team is focused on the user's search experience, and collborates with ranking engineers and Product Managers.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$314,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align on project priorities and staffing needs. Manage Stakeholders in a complex space.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects.
- Make business recommendations with effective communication (and presentations) with respect to data-quality, process, and decision making for Search launch and project prioritization decisions.
- Work with data sets and solve analytical challenges, applying analytical methods as required. Conduct analysis including: data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables and presentations.
- Research and develop analysis and experimentation methdology to improve the quality of Google's user facing products.
