  • 5 years of experience with mobile application design and architecture.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • 3 year of experience in a technical leadership role, and experience developing accessible technologies.

    Responsibilities

    • Write and test product or system development code.Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
    • Be part of a team that gets Gemini to work on Pixel and other Android and iOS mobile phones in the market.
    • Design and implement mission critical functionalities that users love. Work with numerous teams throughout Gemini model, client, and infrastructure to build a scalable infrastructure that powers all of the rich functionalities above.
    • Address open-ended, complex, and constantly evolving problems. Be deeply involved in the design and architectural decisions, as well as collaborating closely with Product Management and UX to define product strategy and roadmap.
    • Explore the best ways to solve problems, propose and drive the technical direction.
