Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end and front-end experience.
  • Experience in Data Collection Methodologies, Infrastructure Design.
  • Experience in Java, Rust, C++, Data Integration, Logging.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead projects that scale telemetry infrastructure for collecting and transporting system and firmware errors and logs from Chromebooks.
    • Design and develop new telemetry infrastructure to collect large-size debug logs on the device and transport them upon anomaly events.
    • Drive projects that standardize, provision and integrate on-device data to system services/apps for the logging. You will also be driving projects where apps and services are integrated with backend API services.
    • Develop scalable solutions to existing telemetry infrastructure for errors, firmware crashes, and vendor module metrics. Add new services and improve system reliability and maintainability.
    • Possess expertise in telemetry infrastructure impacting Chromebook stability, health, and feature development.
