Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience in software development with one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript, or Go.

In this role, you will be responsible for technical work in User Protections and contribute to the growth of our presence in Brazil, supporting a small team and working in collaboration with our leads and teams in the United States and Europe. Our teams are securing Google's GenAI platforms for first- and third-party products, and this is an opportunity to solve problems and have great impact using LLMs. You'll create and review designs, set strategic direction for the team and partners, and help advance the state-of-the-art of Content Safety at scale. As the technical lead, you'll be responsible for your team's technical direction, execution, and impact. You will provide high level and detailed designs, cross-team coordination, and project guidance.

Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
