Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with iOS development.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience with programming in Objective-C, Swift and C++.
  • Experience shipping end-user features and owning the rollout and impact analysis.
  • Experience with building AI powered features.
  • Knowledge of iOS UI frameworks, Model-View-Presenter (MVP) application design and reactive touch based UI.
  • Knowledge of iOS mobile application development.

The Chrome on iOS team's goal is to build the best browser on iOS. We put that in practice by leveraging the momentum and code base behind Chrome to bring innovation and excellence to the mobile web browsing experience on iOS.

Chrome is dedicated to building a better, more open web. We're focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a safe and secure way.Chrome is available across all major platforms - iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new user-facing features in Chrome for iOS.
  • Collaborate with designers to create innovative user experiences. Develop prototypes quickly to validate interactions and product designs.
  • Optimize applications to maximize speed and scale, factoring in mobile network latency and bandwidth constraints.
  • Add automated tests to validate features and help our manual testers build a test plan for them.
  • Work in the open-source Chromium repository as well as Google's proprietary code base.
