Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with one or more optical technologies such as optical metro and long-haul DWDM systems.
- Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.
- Experience with network equipment manufacturer or network operator in engineering or design role.
- Experience with planning and designing large scale networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Drive the quantifiable analysis of measurements, or data and capacity forecast models for making networks more scalable, efficient, and deliver predictable user experience.
- Evaluate the current issues in network systems, and propose designs, software, and processes to improve them.
- Develop software that improves the performance, safety, transparency, and manageability of network systems.
- Participate in rotating schedules with other team members, including weekends.
