Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in design, analysis and validation of electro-mechanical systems and products (e.g., server products).
- Experience in mechanical product design and documentation using 3D CAD tools.
- Experience in designing and analyzing structural and thermal engineering concepts with heat transfer and fluid dynamics, and material properties/science.
- Experience in designing and analyzing with detailed tolerance analysis and tolerance loop methodologies.
- 12 years of experience in mechanical design, analysis and validation of server systems and products.

As a Senior Mechanical Product Design Engineer, you will work cross-functionally to design, build, and deploy the latest technology to support the needs of compute, storage, networking, and machine learning hardware.
You will design and evaluate our data center systems, identify product requirements, and contribute to research and project planning. From the chip to chiller, you are responsible for designing and optimizing products within our architecture that will change and scale with Google's continued growth.
With your technical experience, you will lead and manage engineering design decisions, perform detailed design and analysis, develop product and process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional team members to build innovative solutions.

Responsibilities
- Own and design entire product design life cycle - including requirements gathering, concept generation, detailed design with analysis, verification testing, cross-functional reviews, and manufacturing release.
- Develop and execute designs for complex systems backed by thorough engineering analysis.
- Create test plans, perform testing, and validate designs to meet engineering requirements. Troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve potential technical challenges.
- Influence and shape future products by providing mechanical and product design engineering expertise into the technology road map with data-driven decisions.
- Identify and scope projects around innovation opportunities as well as technology risks.
