Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, a related function, or an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working with large datasets and building dashboards (e.g., data visualization).
  • Familiarity with Javascript, Java, R, or Python.
  • Knowledge of the Cloud/Software industry.
  • Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured, fast paced environment; comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Ability to communicate in German fluently, as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in German with local stakeholders.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Experience, Finance.
  • Track, analyze and forecast performance (business and bookings). Set business goals and track and allocate investments and measure their Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Contribute to yearly planning and resource allocation (headcount and non-payroll expenses).
  • Coordinate the Finance execution of the German Sovereign Cloud partnership.
  • Engage with Germany and strategic industriesleadership to support decision making.
