Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
- 5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- 2 years of experience working on signal development, data analysis, cyber security or anti-abuse.
- Experience operating within cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Networks, Operations, Business Development).
- Excellent programming skills with experinece in one or more languages, such as Python and Golang.

As an Engineering Analyst, you are expected to leverage your expertise in abuse prevention, proactively identify and mitigate emerging threats, assess the effectiveness of existing protections and deliver technical and operational solutions to enhance user safety and strengthen the platform's resilience against abuse.

Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams across the company, identifying new trends, vulnerabilities and influencing company-wide direction and strategies in the Counter-Abuse space.
- Work within Google Photos and Google One to set processes and priorities alongside Cross-functional teams to set and reach trust, safety and sustainability goals at a level.
- Define, implement and monitor abuse metrics, initiate and lead mitigation efforts to address any concerning trends.
- Identify operational and tooling improvements to our Counter-Abuse processes to improve quality, precision, recall and turnaround time.
- Work with Engineering to develop solutions and Machine learning algorithms to improve our protection coverage and be resilient to changes in trends.
