Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
- 2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
- Experience in Coding with C.
- Experience with Hardware, Firmware, Systems Programming.
- Experience with Software Engineering, Reverse Engineering.
- Experience with Risk Assessment, Threat Models.
- Experience with security research, fuzzing, hardware, bug bounty programs or vulnerability remediation.

Our Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. Security Engineers work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. In this role, you will also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.
In this role, you will perform security reviews of different platforms and components that are going to be deployed in Google data centers. You will develop threat models, security requirements and investigate security properties in Hardware and Firmware. You will assess security of low-level firmware. You will interact with different development teams in different times zones to drive security improvements.

Responsibilities
- Identify security issues and implement and design security controls, tools, and services to improve security systems and processes.
- Scope and deliver comprehensive security reviews of hardware/firmware components.
- Develop and refine threat models, risk assessments, and define security requirements for hardware products entering Google's data centers.
- Provide subject matter expertise to teams designing and developing the next generation data center hardware.
