About the job
A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish - working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us - and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.
The Sustainability Reporting Team is responsible for enhancing transparency and raising external awareness of Google's sustainability strategy, showcasing its leadership and commitment to measurable impact through both voluntary and mandatory environmental disclosures. The team has three core values: advocating for transparent reporting, working collaboratively, and raising the standard for disclosure.
As a Program Manager, you will support the preparation of Google's annual sustainability reports, including the Environmental Report, CDP Response, and other external questionnaires. You will also assist with regulated reporting, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), through content development and analysis of global regulations. Additionally, you will leverage emerging technologies, like AI, to explore new ways of creating and accessing sustainability information.
The Global Sustainability team enables Google to build a more sustainable future for everyone by driving strategy and solutions. We drive the development and implementation of Google's global sustainability strategy to further empower action, ensure alignment and prioritization, identify leadership opportunities, and mitigate risks. We drive sustainability strategy and programs on carbon, circular economy, water, product integration, reporting, and employee engagement, while serving as a sustainability leadership advocate internally and externally.
