Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience in building consumer-facing products.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience in product management, launching and scaling consumer-facing products.
  • Experience with photo and video products or services.
  • Understanding of AI and machine learning technologies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, and other stakeholders on landing consumer-facing products.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and investigative skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (e.g., writing Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and strategy documents, building and delivering presentations, including to leadership).

On the Google Photos Gallery team, you will be responsible for the main Photos grid, the most popular surface of the app. Hundreds of millions of users visit this surface daily, to consume, share, edit, delete, favorite, and more. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that requires a deep understanding of user behaviors, a passion for photography and visual storytelling, and a strong product sense. You will lead a team of engineers, designers, researchers, and partner with cross-functional teams to define the future of how people interact with their memories.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for the Google Photos Gallery, ensuring alignment with the overall Google Photos outlook.
  • Understand user needs and behaviors through user research, data analysis, and market trends.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve the user experience, increase engagement, and drive growth.
  • Define and launch new features and improvements to the Gallery, from ideation to execution and launch.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, research, marketing, and legal to bring the outlook to life. Monitor and analyze key metricsto track the performance of the Gallery and identify areas for optimization.
