Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in the data space, either in databases, programming languages or directly related technologies.
  • Experience working across large groups of internal stakeholders and partnerships, and driving alignment across major business units.
  • Track record of big picture strategy thinking, enabling teams to deliver products that are effective and also creating new ways to drive data insights.
  • Understanding of modern software stacks, public cloud infrastructure, and software architecture.
  • Excellent entrepreneurial drive with great problem solving skills and an appreciation of design, user-experience, and cross-platform issues.

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google's products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior-level engineering leadership in multiple product areas to identify needs and best practices, build and bring to market innovative features and products that meet these needs and drive significant impact for Google.

  • Possess a deep understanding of data-centric engineering, analytics and policy management and work across teams to build integrated solutions based on Core Data product portfolio, simplifying data access and management for all Googlers.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across many disciplines, including engineering, user experience design, technical program management, and customer engagement, to ensure that users have the greatest possible experience.
