Product Manager, Cloud Network Capacity Planning

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience building and shipping technical products.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience developing/launching products/technologies within one or more of the following: Cloud, SaaS, enterprise, internal tools, or complex supply chain networks.
  • Experience in network capacity planning, consolidation, and delivery across cloud products.
  • Experience in product management in the Cloud Networking or related domain.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will focus on products that offer planet scale network connectivity to our customers and drive a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure. You will partner closely with Cloud Capacity Planning, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to drive network capacity planning for all Cloud Networking products.

Responsibilities

  • Define the product goal, strategy, and roadmap for our cloud networking capacity planning. Collaborate with executive stakeholders to align product plans with business goals and market opportunities.
  • Drive the cloud networking capacity planning efforts while working closely with cloud network capacity planning, engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Partner closely with the cloud capacity planning team to partner on monthly business reviews and quarterly budget cycles to ensure alignment with product teams.
  • Define new processes, Critical User Journeys (CUJs), system requirements while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure capacity planning, demand and supply tracking, tooling requirements, and work on any escalations with appropriate severity to reach closure.
  • Work closely with account teams to solicit demand signals and ensure their requirements for network capacity are captured, delivered, and addressed in a timely manner.
