Minimum qualifications:

  • JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
  • 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 7 years of legal experience advising enterprise clients in a demanding environment (either at a law firm, in-house, or combination of both).
  • Experience leading projects with clients and colleagues and directly advising the highest levels of executive leadership.
  • Experience analyzing policy/regulatory proposals and advocating sophisticated positions/compliance strategies.
  • Experience working on AI related matters/products (particularly generative AI).
  • Understanding of privacy and intellectual property law.

In this role, you will join the Cloud AI Product Counsel team that supports Cloud AI enterprise products and solutions. You will work with highly collaborative colleagues with top of the market expertise on some of the most challenges of generative AI including a wide variety of regulatory/policy/privacy/security/IP issues, strategic transactions, and more.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $239,000-$337,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on a constantly-evolving portfolio of enterprise level AI/GAI products.
  • Help solve complex policy/privacy/security issues.
  • Advise on IP and regulatory matters.
  • Work with Commercial Legal and Sales on high-value transactions and more.
