Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience designing privacy solutions, including analyzing and assessing engineering designs (e.g., product features, infrastructure systems) and working with stakeholders.
  • 2 years of experience in applying privacy technologies (e.g., differential privacy, automated access management solutions, etc.), and customizing existing solutions and frameworks to meet organizational needs.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in IT Consulting or a similar field.
  • Experience working in Mergers and Acquisitions.
  • Experience working across a variety of Cloud platforms (e.g. Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience in machine learning, generative AI, or similar fields.

Continuously reduce Alphabet information security and privacy risks at Acquisitions and Other Bets by conducting privacy risk assessments and driving privacy improvement outcomes through strategic engagements, security and privacy program building and tooling development and deployment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Identify, design, and lead new privacy engineering solutions that bring an acquisition privacy posture into better alignment with Alphabet's policies and practices.
  • Coordinate with Legal and other Cross-functional (XFN) business stakeholders to identify solutions that balance operational needs with Legal/Regulatory/Contractual needs.
  • Examine Alphabet initiatives/technologies (e.g. Wipeout, Annotations) to understand the interdependencies and how it may be adapted for acquisitions to ensure that acquisition's privacy practices are transparent, protect user privacy, and mitigate risk.
  • Contribute to critical role in the acquisition/Product Area (PA)integration plan, providing privacy subject matter experience to identify and escalate potential privacy concerns, advise on technical privacy tradeoffs, and contribute to the PA strategy.
