About the job

At the core of Google Search is our mission to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. We've made tremendous progress over the past 23 years, making Google Search work better every day. With recent advancements in AI, we're making bigger leaps forward, so it's even easier to find just what you're looking for and be inspired by what you see.

The Search team is on a multi-year mission to redesign the Search experience for a new generation of younger users. We will transition Search from a legacy, text-first experience to one that is visually rich, engaging, and responsive to users' dramatically changing information needs.

As the Principal UX, you will help redesign the Core Search experience for the AI era. You will reimagine a Search that is radically more expressive, opinionated, and easier to use. In leading designers and through direct contributions you will help us develop 0->1 products and innovative user-centered design. As a leader on one of the largest design teams within Google, you will foster a vibrant culture of creativity that attracts and retains exceptional designers, and you will nurture teams where diversity of background and perspective is celebrated. You will move effortlessly between the high level strategic POV and the tiny details that make the difference. You will inspire teams and partners alike to push the boundaries of what's possible.
