As a Principal Specialized Software Engineer, Quantum Computing, Office of the CTO, Google Cloud, you will create and reinforce the pathways between Google Engineering and our most strategic customers and partners, allowing all of us to start from loosely defined, potentially transformative market opportunities and convert them into new, technology-enabled businesses. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with our research, engineering, and product teams to identify and test strategic opportunities for differentiation across our roadmaps with a particular focus on Quantum Computing and post-quantum cryptography.
  • Inform and illuminate the future state of Cloud products and partner closely with technical teams to chart how we'd bring those future states to life.
  • Help our most strategic customers and partners work through the complexity of adopting cutting edge cloud technology, specific to Quantum Computing, and navigating the transition to post-quantum cybersecurity.
  • Inspire others internally and externally to work through difficult and disruptive endeavors through sharing experiences, successes, failures, and the human side of advanced technology development and adoption.
