  • About the job

ML Strategy and Allocation (MLSA) is a cross-functional group accountable to Google leadership (via the MLSA SVP Steering Committee and Google-level reviews). MLSA facilitates the ML Compute strategy for Google, including balancing short- and long-term ML compute needs. For the short-term, MLSA evaluates the ML compute we plan to bring online (including amount, location, space, networking, etc.) as well as how we allocate that compute across Google's critical priorities. Longer-term, the MLSA determines what ML Compute trajectory is needed to support these Google's priorities.

MLSA advises Google leaders on the strategy and allocation of CapEx to critical cross-Google priorities supported by the appropriate business thesis and, where possible, link directly to the "to what end." Product Area leaders are responsible for their areas and contributing to cross-Google strategy.
