Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience managing large-scale technical projects in the software engineering domain.
- Experience in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- 12 years of experience in software development.
- Experience with front end technologies like TypeScript, React or Angular.
- Knowledge of and experience with front-end, web testing infrastructure, distributed systems and architecture.
- Knowledge of ML and front-end domain, including experience with large models (language or multi-modal).
- Passion for AI technology and all of its possibilities.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance and scalable web front-end/full-stack architectures for Gemini that enable fast-paced product innovation.
- Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and back-end engineers to ensure a seamless and beautiful product experience on Web.
- Optimize the performance of Gemini's Web surface.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of approximately 40 front-end and application engineers.
- Advocate and enforce front-end development best practices and code reviews, staying abreast of emerging front-end technologies and trends.
