Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in software engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in AI/ML research and development.
  • Experience with development and creation of AI technologies.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in scaling high-leverage, small teams while effectively collaborating with a broad set of organizations.
  • Leadership experience in driving technically complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple high-priority projects.
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML systems and innovations in the context of edge computing and devices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders and align teams across the organization.
  • Ability to develop and execute a long-term innovation roadmap, balancing short-term objectives with future technology development.

In this role, you will accelerate development of AI technology to reimagine personal computing, create next-gen user experiences and amplify Google's industry leadership.

The Platforms and Ecosystems product area encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications). The products provide enterprises, and ultimately end users, the ability to utilize and manage their services at scale. We build innovative and compelling software products-from apps to TVs, from laptops to phones-that have an impact on people's lives across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $278,000-$399,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive research breakthroughs that will have a profound impact across numerous P&D product teams.
