Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of business experience in advertising, marketing, consulting, media, business development, or advertising agencies.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Experience working with startups or venture capital/private equity firms.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business administration or other advanced degree.
  • Experience assessing and achieving investor success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, compelling narratives, storytelling and engaged selling.
  • Expertise in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on both performance and brand marketing.
  • Knowledge of investor business models and a track record of partnering with businesses across all growth stages.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in a sales context, and consistently achieve goals and business objectives to drive growth.

The Private Equity and Venture Capital Partner team enables investors to leverage Google's advertising suite to grow portfolio and startup companies' businesses. The team bridges the gap between the investment community and Google, empowering investors and their portfolio companies to grow in the age of AI and achieve sustainable growth. This is an opportunity to join a newly established team at the forefront of Google's engagement with the investment community. The program was built on insights into what investors and their portfolio companies need most in today's digital landscape.

As a Partner Manager, you will be a trusted advisor and engaged seller who leverages executive influencing skills to drive growth via scalable marketing initiatives for Google's customers and investor partners. You will prioritize internal and external stakeholder relationships and collaborate with a portfolio of investors to discover, develop, and execute business growth strategies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Build partnerships and develop joint business plans with investors.
  • Deliver ambitious quarterly milestones and growth objectives, grow investor businesses by driving scalable marketing initiatives and growth across a wide range of portfolio companies.
  • Own a portfolio of investors by understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for advertising growth, managing risks and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Influence various levels of executive stakeholders (e.g., General Partners, Vice Presidents, C-level executives) representing diverse functions within the organization, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams, within both internal and external ecosystems to grow new and existing business consistently, while prioritizing and delivering outstanding sales experiences.
  • Shape the private equity and venture capital program and expansive ecosystem by being a thought partner for investors and startups on initiatives and investor-level planning.
