Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
- Experience in telecommunications at carrier class scale and with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers and data services.
- Experience in Dense Wave-Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Routing topology and architecture.
- Experience working in a data center.
- Knowledge of OSP, ISP, AC/DC power systems, environmental controls relay rack/cabinet/cage construction.
- Knowledge of basic scripting/programming (e.g., Python/Apps Script/SQL).

Responsibilities
- Develop business requirement documentation based on solicitation from internal teams.
- Work with development teams to implement automation requirements.
- Manage and audit network equipment installations using third-party vendors or in-house resources as needed.
- Test, troubleshoot, commission routers, optical transport equipment, and other network devices in new and existing network nodes across Google's global network as needed.
- Generate implementation plans and provide technical leadership and guidance during deployment activities.
