Leadership Technical Program Manager, Edge AI Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical project management role for the development of software systems in a cross-functional, cross-organizational context.
  • Experience working with matrixed organizations and stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile scrum development or Waterfall development.
  • Track record of successfully driving projects of increasing complexity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be data-driven and highly analytical, with demonstrated experience of translating data and trends into recommendations, strategies, and actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership attitude, including proven project management skills, including multi-country projects.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own and drive large programs across multiple Google teams. Lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple simultaneous projects with competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Be the trusted owner of the status of the projects/programs. Drive visibility on progress, dependencies, risks or issues to the executives and other stakeholders. Manage communication of progress/status with customer groups. Own and nurture relationships between cross-functional teams.
  • Bring in your technical expertise, your program management experience and your leadership skills to help the team improve and accelerate their execution.
  • Build strong partnerships across Google and leverage your credibility and technical acumen to drive process improvements and efficiencies that lead to better quality and increased velocity/productivity.
  • Supervise a team of Technical Program Managers, providing coaching, mentorship, and leadership.
