Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
- 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
- 5 years of experience in people management with technical leadership.
- 5 years of experience in consumer-facing product management.
- Master's degree in a technology or a business related field.
- Experience with, or continued interest in building accessibility best practices, and incorporating inclusion and accessibility into product development methodologies.
- Knowledge of Japanese culture, consumer behavior, and language, and to develop products that resonate with Japanese users.

Success in this role requires an understanding of both the Japanese market and Google Search, excellent communication skills to secure leadership alignment, and a passion for delivering a best Search experience tailored to Japan.

Responsibilities
- Lead product strategy by defining the outlook, strategy, and product road map for Search Japan.
- Lead product development by overseeing a team of Product Managers(PMs) to deliver in a new and ambiguous product space, utilizing experimentation and data-driven insights.
- Collaborate across functions by working with engineering, communications, and other teams to ensure successful go-to-market execution.
- Build a high-performing team by inspiring and developing a group of product managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and high-performance.
