Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience with public cloud solutions or cloud marketplaces.
  • Experience working with external partners or customers and driving cross-functional technical projects.
  • 5 years of experience in management.
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA degree.
  • 15 years of experience in public cloud solutions across Software-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, or enterprise applications and Google Cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud marketplaces, enabling credible leadership internally and externally with customers or partners.
  • Experience operating in a global role, on a global scale, driving business strategies and initiatives with an established C-level network of software vendors.
  • Ability to translate data and trends into strategies and compelling messages with data-driven and investigative skills.

    As a Head of Partner Solutions Engineer you will grow, develop, and direct several business-critical technical and operational work streams that help scale the marketplace platform and directly assist Google Cloud Partners on their Cloud marketplace journey. In this role you will leverage proficiency in the product platform, compliance, business operations, catalog operations, and support to advocate to Google Cloud Product Management and Engineering teams, accelerating integration projects and achieving broad customer adoption of Cloud marketplace features and programs. You will join the Global Partner organization as you will scale the partner ecosystem for Google Cloud, grow solutions available to our customers, and accelerate the global adoption of cloud technology.
    You will devise, execute, operate, and continuously enhance multiple operational workflows focusing on business outcomes. You will individually contribute and guide the team to deliver a growing third-party catalog, compliant agreement mechanisms, streamlined support, and other operations as they arise. Internally, you will work on technical proficiency to work closely with engineers, product managers, business development, UX, and technical writers to drive platform improvements. You will represent both the business and the software vendor while helping to form the direction of key Marketplace programs.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Devise, implement, and operate business-critical operational workflows that span both technical and non-technical subject matters, scale and improve the effectiveness of those workflows over time using external vendors, process simplifications, and system improvements.
    • Drive approvals for and operationalize new business models and product types for the Google Cloud Marketplace platform. Monitor and provide reports to leadership on these initiatives.
    • Define, execute, and iterate on a strategic direction for the Marketplace platform focused on continued selection growth, increased quality, and growing margins. Implement and maintain strong feedback loops product/engineering teams to deliver product enhancements that improve partner satisfaction and increase operational efficiencies.
    • Develop, grow, and coach a team of high-performing discrete contributors to deliver business outcomes and reach career milestones and nurture leadership skills that help the Marketplace team continue to scale.
