Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, digital media sales, business development, online media environment, or digital marketing role.
  • Experience in consulting, partnerships, business development, sales, or marketing.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to interact with the internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in mobile apps, gaming companies or advertising sales.
  • Understanding of the app business.
  • Ability to record exceeding goals.
  • Ability to be proactive, organized, responsible, and thrive in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to pitch comprehensive advertising solutions.
  • Interest in data sales and broader business opportunities beyond advertising.

About the job

In this role, you will engage with mobile first businesses, exceeding business targets and driving change to accelerate Google's position in the growing business of app install. The Same Store Growth team focuses on growing the app developers who lead each market in Entertainment (Gaming, Comics, Streaming etc.), start-up companies, and more - through Google App Campaign and other Google properties.

As an App Developer Growth Manager, you will join a team passionate about accelerating the growth of our existing GCS Apps customers. You will use your expertise in Google Ad products and mobile app marketing to design strategies that directly help our partners acquire new users and engage with existing users and achieve their business goals. This role involves proactive client outreach. You will deliver insights, recommend account optimizations, introduce product solutions, and conduct reviews to craft tailored solutions. Occasionally, you will travel internationally, speak at industry events, and engage in performance discussions with app developers and marketers.

  • Engage with clients and ensure they achieve their advertising goals, and manage the pipeline effectively and develop a strategy for sustained success.
  • Identify and prioritize value opportunities within the client portfolio.
  • Effective address client concerns and measure campaign performance to optimize results and business growth.
  • Thrive in forming cross-functional relationships with entire GCS, LCS, Play and other stakeholders in order to realize advertiser goals.
  • Contribute to the development of Google's comprehensive suite of app products.
