Group Product Manager, Geoexpansion, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Technical Product Management.
  • 8 years of experience with cloud infrastructure product management.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in in data center and cloud architecture product management.
  • Experience in product management, along with business acumen, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with technical cloud data center requirements, incl. power, network, cooling, zonal architecture, SLA/SLOs, etc. for hyperscale cloud regions.
  • Understanding of how ML/AI impacts cloud data center requirements.
  • Understanding of long-term data center and architecture requirements.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Work with partner Product and Engineering teams to evolve and define long-term GCP cloud region, zonal and region extension infrastructure requirements, including data center, zones, space, power, network, cooling, location, latency, etc
    • Manage the expansion of GCP in the form of Region Extensions and MPS services (mainly traditional enterprise workloads) running in co-lo facilities adjacent to current regions.
    • Establish repeatable processes and governance to drive the roadmap and delivery for these offerings aligned with strategic intention.
    • Represent infrastructure architectures, requirements, and pros/cons to customer and product requirements to cross-functional engineering executives
    • Identify and translate customer digital transformation needs, scenarios into regional, zonal or region extension infrastructure product offering requirements and drive product evolution.
