Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of experience working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 9 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, C++).
  • 5 years of experience with software development and with architectural components and system design.
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of experience running technical engagements with external clients/partners.
  • 6 years of experience using Machine Learning and building solutions.

    In this role, you will be contributing to the expansion of Gemini's capabilities. You will shape the future of highly competitive area at the forefront of AI technology and innovation, evolve how Gemini can get more done for users through partner integrations, build first-of-their-kind technical solutions, improve the model's capability/bring it to market, and dive into evaluations to understand the gaps and address opportunities.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the technical expert for the team, providing guidance on architecture, design, implementation, and best practices.
    • Mentor and coach team members, foster their technical growth and development through code reviews, collaborative troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing.
    • Contribute to the evolution of Gemini throughLarge Language Model(LLM)-based solutions/processes (ex: tools/colabs) for partner schema ingestion, data preparation and quality iterations, prompt engineering, running evaluations, loss bucket analysis, Supervised Fine Tuning(SFT) data points.
    • Influence product strategy and work with cross-functional teams to bring partner-facing features to market. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and latest Machine Learning (ML) research, tools and techniques.
    • Advocatefor partners, user experience, and for partner success with Engineering and Product teams.
