Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience gathering technical and financial data to promote products, services, and solutions.
  • 6 years of experience analyzing and applying industry, market, and organizational information to strategies and plans.
  • 5 years of experience using the sales lifecycle to drive business, and 4 years of experience working in a customer-facing role.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in leading and orchestrating cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with sales and cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders (e.g., internally and externally) across all levels.

    As a Functional Insights Specialist, you will influence internal and external stakeholders by engaging in data-driven analyses and storytelling. You will leverage different data sources to generate powerful consumer insights and proactively identify ways to make our offerings and concepts as relevant as possible for our aimed customers. You will lead primary research projects that can unlock new growth opportunities and become a partner with the industry heads. You will support business growth by uncovering actionable insights for customers, transforming them into easy to scale, automated pitches and engaging in strategic storytelling. You will work across a large portfolio of clients in the retail industry to optimize their online advertising strategies.

    Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world's biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird's eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

    Responsibilities

    • Create scaled narratives, sales augmentationand approaches that anchor on Customer Business Objectives (CBOs) and support the sector's business opportunities that can be automated to enable customized pitching.
    • Conduct comprehensive scalable analyses for the largest verticals representing our high-priority customers to uncover hidden opportunities to optimize their online advertising return on investment.
    • Manage complex data sets and data analysis tools that combine first and third-party data sources and allow for the derivation of actionable insights and recommendations to both, sales and customers.
    • Develop industry point of view and insights collections that help to position Google as a thought leader and support sales team pitches.
    • Attend, recap and guide core industry events and provide insights and strategic narratives.
