Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communication, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 1 year of experience in coding with a general purpose programming language (e.g., C/C++).
- Experience with developing Firmware for embedded systems and Linux kernel drivers.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in power/thermal management and optimization in mobile/embedded systems.
- Experience with software development/debugging in Android/Embedded Linux or embedded RTOS.
- Knowledge of modem or protocol layer software.
- Ability to debug embedded software and hardware issues.

As a Firmware Engineer, you will influence, drive, and work with diverse cellular modems teams for Pixel phones and other Pixel devices to enhance the power consumption and thermal behavior of the device. You will characterize the power/thermal behavior of the Pixel device and understand any potential issues and improvements, and develop new software features/frameworks to exploit the possible power/thermal optimization.
