Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, a related function, or a relevant advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills including experience in project management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate with management team.
  • Ability to create and foster strong cross-functional networks and manage without authority and excellent leadership, influencing, and communication skills.

    Geo Product Area Finance is part of Google's Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function and provides analytical and business planning support to the Geo Product Area and its commercial functions, including Product Partnerships and Marketing. Our team partners with executive leadership across Ads, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams, playing an instrumental role in analyzing the strategies, initiatives and success of Geo's products for businesses, users, and merchants.

    Our work involves helping executives understand the financial implications of their strategies, determine the direct and indirect value of Geo initiatives, develop and support our product initiatives and Ads strategies; manage the Geo Product Area Ads business, and help identify opportunities for customer and business growth. The Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to senior leadership, and is integral to the operations and strategy of the Product Area.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $87,000-$128,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with leadership across the Monetization teams to develop analytical frameworks for understanding and improving business and financial performance.
    • Provide executive management with clear insights into drivers of user metrics, business, costs, market trends, risks and opportunities, leading to business growth and product decisions.
    • Identify and implement metrics and reporting tools to measure business results and success.
    • Partner with product leadership to evaluate, structure, and execute business plans and growth initiatives.
    • Manage Annual and Long Range Geo business planning exercise by partnering with various cross-functional teams. Partner with the Geo Developer and Cloud finance teams to analyze ads opportunity for Geo Maps platform.
