Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to collaborate with colleagues and complete tasks and projects.
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree in Science, or a related field.
  • Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation.
  • Experience in spread sheet and other spreadsheet technology.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with new changes to existing processes.
    • Provide financial records and supporting documentation to auditors, and assist with the development of process cycle memorandums and procedural walk-throughs.
    • Use data to extract meaningful insights and monitor the performance of different areas of a business.
    • Be accountable for accuracy, timeliness, effectiveness and efficiency of all accounting and finance control related processes in Japan.
    • Represent Accounting and Finance with our business partners through effective communication with in-country Business Managers, Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit and Business finance etc.
