Finance Analyst, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience in Finance, Management consulting, and Corporate strategy.
  • Experience in Data Analytics, SQL, and Dashboards.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working with large datasets and building dashboards (data visualization).
  • Experience with the Cloud/Software business.
  • Knowledge of the Cloud/Software industry.
  • Familiarity with Javascript, Java, R, or Python.

    The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You'll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.

    Cloud is a strategic priority for Google. We develop groundbreaking Google Cloud solutions, including Google Cloud Platform and Google Workspace, to help clients transform.

    The Cloud Sales Finance team ensures that Cloud Sales makes good financial decisions. We are an important partner and independent advisor to the Cloud commercial leaders, providing them financial, problem-solving, and strategic insight.

    In this role, you will be part of a team of Finance analysts, supporting three critical EMEA businesses: EMEA North, EMEA Strategic Industries, and EMEA Public Sector.

    The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

    Responsibilities

    • Track relevant metrics to support decision-making.
    • Forecast performance and provide insights into variance to plan.
    • Manage yearly business planning and drive goal setting.
    • Allocate resources and manage spend within budget.
    • Review and approve large, complex commercial agreements.
