Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting MOCVD epitaxial growth reactors
  • Experience with vacuum systems, gas delivery systems, and RF power systems
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience leading a team of technicians
  • Experience with III-N epitaxy processes
  • Experience with helium leak testing and other diagnostic techniques
  • Experience with Aixtron or Veeco MOCVD equipment

As an Epitaxy Equipment Maintenance Engineer, you will ensure the optimal performance and uptime of our epitaxial growth reactors, used in the production of monolithic InGaN microLED displays.

Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance and troubleshooting of MOCVD epitaxial growth reactorsto ensure optimal uptime and performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on MOCVD equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues, utilizing schematics, diagnostics, and vendor support.
  • Collaborate with process engineers to optimize maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor a team of technicians in equipment maintenance best practices.
